Position Summary/Objective We are looking for a passionate and outgoing individual to lead and develop our growing loan department. The Senior Loan Officer, VP role is an exciting opportunity to build and develop relationships both internally and with our current and prospective customers. An ideal candidate will have experience developing a lending team, improving policies and procedures while growing their individual loan portfolio for the bank.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and develop our growing loan department
  • Help develop and refine loan related policies and procedures
  • Drive process improvement and governance while minimizing errors and omissions from the lending department
  • Manage loan department responsibilities such as Loan committee, Policy/Procedure review, growth and marketinginitiatives(including pipeline reporting)
  • Coordinate and manage external loan reviews and audits
  • Evaluate current and proposed bank loan products (portfolio and third party)
  • Attend and engage in various bank committees
  • Prospect for new business leads, both internally and with outbound meetings and guerilla marketing efforts.
  • Participate in Community activities, both in Ray County, Missouri and Johnson County, KS areas.
  • Identify needs of prospective and existing customers, propose solutions to help meet those needs, and identify additional opportunities that may help their financial goals.
  • Underwrite, analyze, originate and service a wide variety of commercial, agricultural and consumer loans for our customers within loan policy guidelines.
  • Portfolio management of new and existing loans.
  • Be responsible for ensuring all paperwork is complete and correct. Accuracy and attention to detail are imperative.
  • Actively cross sell and develop deposit relationships with loan customers
  • Follow all applicable compliance rules, laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with executive management
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 5-10 years minimum experience in a leadership role
  • 7-10 years of bank lending experience

Physical Requirements**

· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or computer.

· You must be able to use a computer and other office equipment (e.g., phone, printer).

· Ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through written correspondence.

· Ability to concentrate and focus on tasks for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.

The position could split time between our Prairie Village, Kansas and Orrick, Missouri location depending upon the candidate skill set and desire.
